Russia demands UN meeting over Nord Streams sabotage for Sep 26
U.N., Sep 7 (PRIME) -- Russia has requested to schedule a meeting of the U.N. Security Council to discuss sabotage on the Nord Streams gas pipelines for September 26, Deputy Permanent Representative Dmitry Polyansky said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.
"We have requested a public meeting of the U.N. Security Council for September 26, the anniversary of the Nord Streams blasts. We will keep on revealing the truth about the Westerners. The beginning is slated for 10:00 p.m., Moscow time," Polyansky said.
In September 2022, blasts ripped through the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines in the Swedish and Danish waters leaving only one functioning pipeline out of the four for Russian gas exports to Europe.
